What is a recent green product or technology that has benefited Earth?

I have a 5 page essay to write for my biology class about a new “green” product or technology that has benefited the environment. I was just curious to see if anyone has any ideas of what would be a good thing to talk about? (Something interesting with a lot of information on, and something that I can maybe expand on a bit).

I will really consider every topic mentioned since this essay is going to be so long, so thank you guys so much for your help
