In need of a good all natural energy supplement.?

I am searching for an all natural all day energy supplement that REALLY works! Low thyroid for the last 10+ years leaves me tired all the time not to mention the all day fatigue. I want to start exercising to gain strength and relieve pain as well as lose a few lbs. but the aforementioned tiredness and fatigue make it impossible for me to muster up any drive to do so. Oh, and yes, I am on thyroid meds. Any good supplements to help fight the fatigue and tiredness all day would be welcomed! I don’t want anything that will make me jittery or anything that is God awful expensive. Thanks to anyone with helpful answers!

  4. Usually what causes the thyroid problem is a side effect of perscription drugs you are already taking. It may be something else your doing but drugs are the main cause. As for all natural energy… try getting a juicer. Buy a bunch of veggies and fruits and juice them. You can even buy a book on what combinations go together and taste the best/work the best. That will take you to a whole new level in terms of feeling good and having energy!!!!!!

  5. Best medicine I know, is keep the balance right of protein and carbohydrates. Take good herbal vitamin supplements, and keep up on B-vitamin (whatch out though too high on B is also not good)
Also actually doing excersise does give you more energy. Just make sure you don’t ‘force’ yourself, because forcing yourself to do anything will make you tired trying to do that thing.
Instead do the excersise out of resolution, do it because you really want to. If you’re tired when you begin to excersise just ahve the thought in your mind: “I’m tired yes, I just _really_ want to do this.” and then do it. There’ll be a few tiredness barriers to overcome, but continue anyway simply because you really want to do it.
Soon nothing will be able to tire you (well almost anyway) as long as you keep making your ‘really wanting to do it’ the driving force.

  6. I agree with Barbaro_ . you could also add green organic Barley grass. Its a great supplement. tastes like, well, grass, but mixed with juices or used as a smoothie base it can help. A yoga breath called Bhastrika which constricts the throat to create a snoring noise will give emphasis to thyroid and throat area, but do go to a yoga teacher to learn this method. In fact yoga of a gentle form is great for all round health. Dru Yoga is a particularly therapeutic style.

  7. Go and get yourself fully assessed by a naturopath ……. get them to do testing for food allergies/intolerances and chemical sensitivities …….what you ingest and absorb through your skin and breath can have a vast impact on the way you think, the way you feel and your overall health and vitality ……. seriously, you can live a pain free drug free life if only you know precisely what chemicals and foods are upsetting your system …. it could be something as simple as lactose intolerance or an intolerance to processed sugar or wheat …… disorders from which people suffer due to intolerances to food or chemicals in their diets can cover almost the whole spectrum of physical and mental illnesses ….. an extraordinary concept but mind blowingly true……. do yourself a favor and go and get allergy tested.

in the meantime, try to eat as much whole fresh foods that you prepare yourself that includes a wide range of leafy and green vegies, some low sugar fresh fruits like watermelon, cantalope, pears and strawberries, some lean meats and fishes, brown rice, organic nuts and seeds like almonds, brazil nuts and sunflower seeds and lots of fresh filtered water ………. feed your body from God’s table and wean yourself off any highly processed, packagedsludge that has little to no nutritional value anyway.

  8. If you have a low thyroid then the thing you would need is the nutrients to help the body build up the thyroid. If the glands are functioning correctly, you will not be tired.

Go to the cause of the problem, dont’ try and artificiall get more energy.
